🔗 Share this article Vinted Users Share Anger About Sizing Changes Shoppers are voicing their frustration due to a modification that led to listings displaying inaccurate size information. The popular resale platform has updated its sizing categories for female and kids' apparel without notifying every member regarding the update. Digital Channels Response Countless users and merchants have taken to social media saying Vinted listings now show a different size category versus the original listing due to the recalibration. The company said the updated approach better aligns with similar services. They have suggested members to examine their items and update the measurements by hand when needed, which has left users frustrated. Sizing System Updates Earlier, the sizes had both a single numeric size and a letter, like S/8 or M/10. The revised method features an alphabetical indicator and numerical range like S/UK 8-10. In some cases, the sizing has been recategorised - like an L measurement was previously a 12 but is now a UK 16-18. Member Stories Frankie Bridger, who produces content about larger sizing, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," the way the service now categorizes. A different member, based in Glasgow, said garments she listed on Vinted with size 14 labels were appearing on the platform as measurements 20-22. "If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they may become frustrated," she said. Manual Updates Charlotte Lunn, located in England, explained she became annoyed due to the update requiring manual adjustment the sizing for "all her products". "Personally, this is quite irritating, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential following partial earnings loss," she said. Marketplace Information The service features exceeding 100 million members, comprising 18 million UK members. It has proved a popular alternative versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop. This is not the initial instance where an unanticipated change on the platform has faced criticism: previously, the service retracted a modification regarding delivery choices following member complaints.
